First drafts of the pilot activities of the MARIE project

In the framework of the MARIE project - Mediterranean Rethinking Building for Energy Efficiency Improvement - a total of seven pilot activities are scheduled in different regions and areas. The main lines of work have been set recently.

The LIMA Association participates in two pilot activities, to study the technical feasibility and especially management of the transition to a centralized energy system to a group of buildings in the Eixample district of Barcelona. The first pilot activity is concerned with the area of planning, in particular the methodology for collecting and storing relevant data (cadastre, livability, energy consumption, etc..), their interpretation and diagnosis and measures to promote energy savings from an urban level. The second pilot activity focuses on the possible synergies in the centralization of energy services at the level of a group of buildings, taking advantage of the complementarities of demand for different uses.
